Mexican Border
This "blue" thunderstorm was captured after dark just over the Texas/Mexico border. It is rare when chasing takes me this far south, but tornadic thunderstorms are probably common in northern Mexico, but the Mexican government does not have the resources to have as impressive nor organized a weather service to help issue watches and warnings in this area. The color of the bolt has not been altered. May 28, 2002; 13 seconds at f/8.
